We found the peptide encoded by the DNA sequence given here after purification using strep-mediated affinity chromatography and immobilization on polystyrene to be able to selectively bind significant amounts of neodymium from solution. We calculated a binding efficiency for this peptide of 0,224 – 0,962 mol of neodymium per mol of peptide immobilised or 22,41 – 96,17% for our given experimental setup.
